Opus Saturni

Opus Saturni

By Arbor Vitae

After dry distilling lead acetate, what was left as SAL is said to burn in contact with coal. The picture (video) was taken at a moment where one could see and hear that we can trust the practioners that came before us. As the fire is blown, it transforms the grey matter.

Honey

Gur

By Diamond Spirit

In 2020, I gathered fresh juniper berries from a local area and crafted a spirit from them, which I then distilled. In one of the books I was reading, it mentioned that from this work you could obtain a “honey,” and it warned not to burn it. The text also said that if you calcine this honey, you can draw forth another kind of salt.

When I shook the flask, I saw a beautiful red honey forming, and I thought to myself that I should wait. Over time, this honey has deepened into an even richer red, so now I am simply waiting.

In the year when the stars turned strange, I gathered the living fruit of the wild thorn of Jupiter. From its essence I drew forth a subtle spirit and caused it to ascend through fire and vessel.

The ancient writers declare: from this travail is born a Honey, yet it must not be consumed by the flame, lest its sweetness perish. They whisper also that should this Honey be committed to the calcining fire, another Salt of wondrous virtue will appear.

When I stirred the vessel, behold — there revealed itself a liquor of crimson hue, the Honey of Fire. My heart counseled patience, for I perceived that the tincture desired time to ripen. And now the Honey, deepened into a red more profound, abides in silence; and I, with it, in waiting.
